McKee Door Safety Training
At McKee, we truly believe one accident is too many. That is why our company is built on a solid safety foundation. Our focus has been helping our employees utilize solid safety processes that we have established as a company – processes that allow our employees to work safely. Training, planning, proper selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment; learning to make the correct safety decisions; and having the right and responsibility to stop any unsafe operations are just a few of the safety processes our employees use every day. They understand that one accident is too many at McKee.
In 2008, we received the 100% and Achievement Awards from the Safety Council of Greater Columbus. The 100% award recognizes companies that have gone one year with no lost time injuries or illnesses; and the Achievement award recognizes those companies which have had a 25% reduction in their incident rate from the previous year. As a reflection of our dedicated safety efforts, we have achieved an EMR rating of 75 (our lowest ever) in both 2009 and 2010.
McKee’s Safety Program is successful because of our people, who are focused on improving every day. They are continually working together toward the common goal of eliminating all incidents. We aim to educate and train our employees in all aspects of safety to be accident free every day.
